CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Art of Yoga:  A strong Vinyasa based yoga experience integrating strength and fluidity, alignment, intuition, meditation and wisdom in action.  Focusing on breath as key, achieving balance of Body Spirit and Mind, as you deepen into presence.

Ashtanga Yoga: An athletic flow based on the Ashtanga Primary Series as taught by as taught by B.N.S. Iyengar and K. Patabi Jois.  Sychronized breath, posture and movement cleanse, stretch and strengthen, bringing lightness and energy to the body.  All levels welcome.

Gentle Iyengar uses careful sequencing, attention to alignment and breath, and the use of props to make poses accessible for all.

Qi Gong: A series of moving & non-moving forms designed to open the Heart, stimulate the flow of Qi, remove disease & return the practitioner to the Natural State of Perfect Well-being.

Restorative Yoga: Restful poses designed to cleanse and nourish the body and renew the spirit. Using bolsters and blankets to support the body, allowing full relaxation.

Svaroopa® Style Yoga: Gentle, reliably effective spinal opening yoga. Supportive propping and detailed alignments in seated and reclining poses, release spinal tensions, easing chronic stress, pain and injury. Deeply soften and rejuvenate into bliss!

Yoga Grass Valley Class Descriptions

HOW TO ATTEND

Just show up! All classes are ongoing and fees are paid directly to the instructor. Complimentary use of yoga mat for first class.
Class Schedule

Pre-register for workshops by calling the instructor or Wild Mountain, 530.265.4072.

Yoga Etiquette
DO ... remove shoes in lobby.
DO ... wear comfortable workout attire, clean, bare feet.
DO ... stay well hydrated.
DO ... purchase or bring your own personal yoga mat.
DO ... arrive on time. Each class has its own rhythm.
The beginning is important.
DO ...let your teacher know about injuries or conditions tht might affect your practice.

DON'T ... eat a heavy meal within 2 hours of class.
DON'T ... wear fragrance or perfumes.
DON'T ...leave your cellphones on!
DON'T ... enter studio during meditation, but you are welcome to join us once we start the asana practice.

 

LEVELS

Level 1: Suitable for the beginning yoga students.

Level 2: Suitable for continuing students.

Level 3: For the advanced practitioner, able to work on intermediate poses, backbends and inversions.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

Wild Mountain Yoga Center is located in the Seven Hills Business District just west of downtown Nevada City. Traveling from Grass Valley take Hwy 49/20 to the Gold Flat/Ridge Rd. exit. Turn left and go over freeway and take the first right onto Searls Ave. Continue for about 2 blocks and we're on the left at 574 Searls.
